Description
TB-500 is an N-acetylated heptapeptide corresponding to the actin-binding region (residues 17–23) of thymosin β4.
- Sequence — Ac-LKKTETQ
- Molecular formula — C38H68N10O14
- Molar mass — 889.0 g/mol
- CAS — 885340-08-9
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in a sealed glass vial. Store at −20 °C, desiccated and protected from light.
Peptides of this class are supplied as acetate or TFA salts, so gross vial weight exceeds net peptide content. The net content figure on our certificate is the peptide mass, measured gravimetrically.
On nomenclature. TB-500 is the acetylated seven-amino-acid fragment above, molar mass 889.0 g/mol — not full-length thymosin β4, which is 43 amino acids at roughly 4,963 g/mol. Material sold under the TB-500 name is sometimes the full-length protein instead. Our certificate states the measured mass, so you can tell which one you have.
Each lot is tested by an independent laboratory for HPLC purity and gravimetric net content. The report is published on this page and readable before purchase.
