Beyond purity
Purity is a ratio. It says what fraction of the material in the vial is the target compound. It says nothing about how much material is in the vial — and that is where the published third-party data shows vendors failing most often.
01 — Net content
Purity and quantity are separate measurements. A short-filled vial passes a purity test perfectly.
02 — Salt form
Every peptide CAS number is a free-base number, but the material in the vial is a salt. Gross weight exceeds net peptide by roughly 5–15%.
03 — Identity
“TB-500” is sold as both the Ac-SDKP fragment and full-length thymosin β4 — a molecule roughly three and a half times the mass.

The testing standard
Most sellers publish a seven-layer panel and a single purity number that never changes. We publish the two tests we actually pay for, and name the four we don't, so nobody has to guess where the line is.
High-performance liquid chromatography reports the fraction of the material that is the target compound, and quantifies what else is present. The value belongs to the lot, not to the brand.
The mass actually in the vial, measured and reported against the label claim. Specification is ±10%. This is the test the published third-party data shows vendors failing most often.
Mass spectrometry confirms the molecule is what the label says. On the roadmap; the panel widens as volume supports it, and this page will say so on the day it does.

Because purity is a ratio and net content is a quantity, and a vial can be 99% pure while holding two-thirds of the mass printed on the label. Published third-party testing shows net content failing far more often than purity. It is also the one number a vendor cannot fake without an independent laboratory.
